Adobe Creative Cloud Software & Alternatives – EN

NOTE: Starting August 1, 2025, there will be a campus license for all Angewandte employees, which will be automatically assigned to the university email address.

Adobe Subscription For Employees #

All Angewandte employees will receive an all-app license. To do so, log in to Adobe using your university email address “firstname.lastname@uni-ak.ac.at” in your browser or in the Adobe Creative Cloud Client. The download link for the Creative Cloud Client can be found HERE.

You should then have the following options. Select “Corporate and Educational Institution Account.

The first time you log in, you’ll need to create a password. Then click “Next.” If you’re asked to enter a second email address, you can skip this step by clicking “Not now.” Your account should now have an “ACOMarket” license.

Guide For Students & Teachers Subscription #

Adobe offers a discounted subscription for students and teachers. The subscription costs around €19,50 in the first year and €35,99 starting from the second year (as of September 2024 – the subscription price for subsequent years is typically increased slightly each year and may vary).

Here you will find the guide for ordering the discounted Adobe subscription. First, go to the Adobe Website. Click on “Creativity & Design” and then on “View plans and pricing”.

You should now see the following page. Here, you can view all the subscription options for Creative Cloud. Select the “Student & Teachers” option and click on “Buy now”. On theis page you can also choose between an Annual Plan, paid monthly and an Annual plan, prepaid.

On the following page, enter the email address you want to use for your Adobe account and click on “Continue”.

Now, you need to enter your payment information. Choose your preferred payment method and fill out the required fields. Then click on “Continue to verification”.

On the final page, you can select whether you are a “Student” or “Teacher/Staff”, Choose the option that applies to you. You will then be prompted to provide information about your educational institution. The required information differs for teachers and students. Once you have entered all the information correctly, click on “Agree and subscribe”. The subscription process should now be complete, and you can download the Creative Cloud to manage your programs.

Adobe Alternatives #

The Adobe Suite is only available through a subscription model and cannot be purchased with a one-time payment. If the subscription costs are too high, you can switch to the following alternatives:

Affinity #

The Affinity Creative Suite is an alternative to the most common Adobe applications Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. The three programs can either be purchased separately or as a universal license.

Affinity Photo vs Adobe Photoshop #

DaVinci Resolve vs Premiere Pro #
