Open the settings menu.
In the “Wireless & networks” menu select “Wi-Fi“.
Now select “eduroam“.
Use the following settings:
- EAP method: PEAP
- Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2
- CA certificate: Do not validate
As identity enter “pxxxxxxx@uni-ak.ac.at” or “sxxxxxxx@student.uni-ak.ac.at“.
If you are asked for a Domain type in “uni-ak.ac.at“.
Please pay attention to the amount of zeros in your employee-number. Older Accounts have three leading zeros, new accounts however only have two.
As password enter your associated password.
Now you should be Connected to the Wi-Fi.
NOTE: On devices with Android version 12, there is a possibility that the option “Do not validate” does not appear when selecting “CA certificate“. If this is the case on your device, check the settings with the help of the following image
Apple iOS #
Open the settings menu.
Select “Wi-Fi“.
Below “Choose a network…” select “eduroam“.
As username enter “pxxxxxxx@uni-ak.ac.at” or “sxxxxxxx@student.uni-ak.ac.at“.
Please pay attention to the amount of zeros in your employee-number. Older Accounts have three leading zeros, new accounts however only have two.
As password enter your associated password.
Then click on “Trust“.
Now you should be Connected to the WLAN.
“geteduroam” – app #
The setup of Eduroam can also be done using the “geteduroam” app, in addition to manual configuration. The app is available for both Android and iOS. Use the following links/QR codes to download it:
Open the app after downloading and search the list for “applied arts.” Once you select the University of Applied Arts, you will be prompted to log in. Use your p-/s-number with the suffix @uni-ak.ac.at or @student.uni-ak.ac.at, along with your corresponding password.
Employees
- Username: pNumber@uni-ak.ac.at (Your personal p-number; p + 7-digit number)
- Password: Your personal p-number password (same as used for Base and the Service Page)
Students
- Username: sNumber@student.uni-ak.ac.at (Your s-number consists of “s” followed by your matriculation number)
- Password: Your personal s-number password (same as used for Base and the Service Page)
